Organization

Solomon Blum Heymann & Stich LLP, and its partners, are members of several international organizations and networks which are described below. Our memberships enable us to maintain and build upon our contacts with lawyers and other professionals around the world, and to continually educate ourselves on the latest developments in matters that may affect our clients' businesses.

International Business Law Consortium: Center for International Legal Studies

The International Business Law Consortium ("IBLC") is an organization of business-oriented law firms which is sponsored by the Center for International Legal Studies of Salzburg, Austria. The IBLC meets annually to discuss issues of transnational interest that relate to matters of commercial and business law, and to enable its members to renew and enhance their professional relationships.

Solomon Blum Heymann & Stich LLP's attorneys actively participates in IBLC activities including contributing to the group's newsletter and speaking at conferences sponsored by the Center for International Legal Studies.

Inter-Legal

Inter-Legal is a network of law firms primarily based in Europe. Solomon Blum Heymann & Stich LLP is the only member on the network from the Eastern United States. Through the network, each member provides its own clients with access to legal services in foreign jurisdictions through referrals to other members of the network. Through regular meetings and frequent interactions we are familiar with the lawyers in the other member firms and their expertise. Therefore, when we make referrals through the network, we have confidence that our clients' matters in other jurisdictions will be handled competently and effectively. Partner William L. Blum, Esq. currently serves as the President of Interlegal.

International Tax Planning Association

As our firm's partner in charge of tax, international tax planning, and estate planning, William L. Blum, Esq., is an active member of the International Tax Planning Association. Since 1986 he has participated regularly in the organization's meetings and speakers panels. The ITPA gives us access to tax planning resources and expertise to assist our clients, as well as introductions to a broad spectrum of tax and financial service providers in other countries when our clients' needs require. We also provide the ITPA with current information on U.S. Virgin Islands tax developments for distribution to its members.

Association for Corporate Growth

As a partner in our firm’s Business, Corporate and Securities Law practice area, Clifford R. Pearl is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth and has served on the Board of Directors and as President of ACG Denver since 2000 (as President from 2003 to 2005).
